Hello fellow makeup lovers… today’s post is simply an homage to Bella Terra’s Eye Prime.  WOW!  I’m sure you’ve all read every blurb on our website, right?  ;)  Well, it definitely states there in our “Looks and Tips” section that our Eye Prime doubles as an “under eye concealer” but it actually works as a concealer EVERYWHERE.  I tried it on a blemish last night and I’ve really never tried a concealer that covers this well.  I’m amazed!  What’s even more impressive is that I’m extremely fair-skinned and, despite the darker appearance of Eye Prime, the color blended in with my skin tone oh so naturally.  I’m a fan for life!

Hello fellow makeup lovers!  I know, I know, it’s been a while but I’m back and finally fully recovered from Mardi Gras.  New Orleans was a pleasure, as always.  The food, the drink and the spirit really allow an amazing escape for a while.  And the fashion!  Oh the fashion… from the craziest makeup and most brightly-colored tutus you’ve ever seen to those wearing NOTHING but maybe some Mardi Gras beads or even just makeup from head to toe… it’s always interesting:) 

Anyway, I’m back and have St. Patrick’s Day on the brain.  (It’s always on to the next celebration/fashion opportunity for me.)  What am I gonna wear?  How will I do my makeup?  Where should I celebrate?  Should I take the day off?  I’m a third Irish after all….

I got to thinkin’ – what is the history behind St. Patty’s Day?  Who was St. Patrick?  Do I really have to eat corned beef and cabbage?  So… I started reading and thought I’d pass my findings on to you. 

St. Patrick was known as patron saint and national apostle of Ireland after being accredited for bringing Christianity to the people of Ireland.  He was brought there as a slave at 16 years old but later escaped.  He couldn’t leave Ireland behind however and later returned to spread his religious beliefs.  The shamrock’s popularity and significance comes from the legend that St. Patrick explained the Holy Trinity by the three leaves of the clover – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

March 17th is the anniversary of what is believed to be the death of St. Patrick and now represents a time when the prohibitions of lent are waived and the Irish celebrate with food and drink. 

Ironically, the first St. Patrick’s Day parades were actually here in the United States and since, the celebration has reached far and wide to include Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore and Russia! 

Now to figure out the leprechaun….

Hello fellow mineral makeup lovers!  Delaney here – brainstorming about ways to beat the summer heat!  I hear the forecast is 103 for next week in Houston:(  I hope you all are someplace cooler.  Regardless, these tips are great for everyone this year – whether poolside,hanging at the beach, or just out running errands.
