The flat eye shadow brush is traditionally a go-to brush for applying eye shadow. Yet, an angled eye shadow brush allows the artist to quickly apply contour to the shape of the eye by following along the orbital bone. Color quickly transfers to the ledge above the eye socket making blending easy. Try applying eye shadow to the lid with a flat brush by PRESSING the brush against the skin and releasing the color. There is minimal fall-out when you employ this technique. Then blend the colors together using a specific blending brush that has a point atop the end of a dense bristled brush. Makeup Artists use an assortment of brushes to achieve precision and definition. Concealing around the eyes becomes easier when using this method of application.
